Water Efficiency in Irrigation

Image
Promote Water-conserving, Money-saving Irrigation Systems Inefficient parts and systems claim between 30% and 70% of the water from most irrigation systems. Your clients look to you for innovative ways to conserve water and save money. Where do you turn for solutions to make residential or commercial irrigation systems or sprinklers more efficient? At  Vanden Bussche Irrigation , we not only offer top-brand irrigation systems, but we also sell components that make the system run even more efficiently! Consider adding the following products to your installation options: Master valve and flow sensor. If one of your irrigation valves sticks in the open position, the master valve will shut off water to the system to prevent waste. When used with a flow sensor, the master valve can save even more water. For optimal results, program the system to shut off the master valve only in the case of a leak. Image
2020 has been a year full of many new adversities and challenges, which forced us to constantly adapt and readjust our lives.  These adversities and challenges were piled on top of the ones we already faced during regular ‘non-pandemic’ life. For some, these every day challenges include meeting basic needs such as food on the table, especially during the holiday season. In hopes of lessening the heavy load of 2020 on top of the already existing challenges the holiday season brings for many, we introduced our Holiday Food Drive Contest. This competition allowed us to help those within our community to get food on the table, while boosting the holiday spirit around the Vanden Bussche office and warehouse. A win-win for sure! Here’s how it worked. All employees at our Delhi location were split into four teams: Team Snow Man, Snow Flake, Candy Cane and Mistle Toe. Beginning on Dec. 1st, teams began collecting and bringing in non-perishable food items, placing them in their corresponding

Hope for the Simcoe Seals

Image
The Simcoe Seals, the Special Olympics Swim Team in Simcoe, are a group consisting of 40 swimmers and 10 coaches. They’ve had swimmers go to Provincial, National and World games, training four times a week at the local facility. Heading into 2021, the swim fees at this rec centre were increased, posing a financial obstacle for the organization. In 2020, they had 12 swimmers qualified and ready for Provincials, which was cancelled due to Covid-19. On top of this, now there was a high chance that the 2021 season wouldn’t happen because of the increased fees. Vanden Bussche Irrigation President, Marc Vanden Bussche, saw this as an opportunity to give back to the local community, and wanted to make sure the team was able to pay the swim fees at the rec centre and participate in the 2021 season (once Covid safe). A donation was made to the Simcoe Seals on behalf of Marc that covered the facility swim fees, ensuring the Seals will be able to have the 2021 season they most certainly deserv
