A 350 Acre Sub Surface Drip Irrigation Project
Vanden Bussche’s very own Yuriy Gudz is working with Osgoode Farms to install a sub-surface drip irrigation system, a system that can reap many benefits.
Based on Osgoode Farms soil type, sub-surface drip irrigation is a great solution that will preserve moisture, reduce energy, and improve plant growth. The farm has a goal to increase corn yields by 75 bu an acre, and installing this system makes that goal much more attainable.
So far, they have installed the first 53 acres of sub-surface drip irrigation, and are planning to irrigate the full 350 acres.
